Job summary

The Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing, NY is seeking a Houseman/Runner to support our housekeeping team and ensure guest spaces remain clean and welcoming. This role emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork in a renowned lakeside resort.

Responsibilities include cleaning corridors and public areas, assisting with in-room services such as turn-downs and item deliveries, stocking supplies, and operating resort vehicles safely.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Flex scheduling; must work weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unaided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of guest room corridors, stairwells, and public spaces.
• Perform cleaning tasks within guest rooms including turn-down service and replenishing toiletries.
• Deliver cots, cribs, refrigerators, and other items upon request.
• Inspect delivered items to ensure cleanliness and safe operation.
• Keep supply closets stocked and clean.
• Clean windows in guestrooms.
• Operate Sagamore-owned vehicles safely (max 15 mph).
• Maintain communication with the housekeeping dispatcher.
• Assist room attendants and lobby porters with items as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the cleanliness of guest room corridors, and stairwells, and other public spaces
• Performs assigned cleaning tasks within guest rooms such as turn-down service and replenishing toiletries
• Fills guest requests in a timely manner, including deliveries of cots, cribs, refrigerators, etc.
• Inspects items being delivered to guests to ensure they are in clean, safe operating condition
• Keeps supply closets stocked & clean
• Cleans windows in guestrooms
• Maintain the cleanliness of the ice rooms
• Shampoos carpets and upholstered furniture
• Operates Sagamore-owned trucks and vans with regard for safety of guests and associates, including operation at no more than 15 mph
• Carries a company radio / mobile device, and stays in communication with the Housekeeping Dispatcher
• Fills requests for items needed by Room Attendants, Lobby Porters, or Housekeeping’s internal customers
• Other duties as assigned
