Position Overview:

Green Lake Conference Center (GLCC) is seeking an efficient, safety-oriented Houseman\/Route Team Member to oversee and coordinate housing-related services and deliveries to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of guest accommodations. This role is essential in maintaining housing inventories, coordinating the pick-up and delivery of linens and other necessary items, and working closely with Lodging & Facilities team members to meet the needs of laundry, custodial, housekeeping, and guest services. The Houseman\/Route Team Member will play a vital role in maintaining an organized, welcoming environment for GLCC guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Route Coordination: Plan, schedule, and organize the delivery and collection of lodging supplies, including linens, towels, hygiene items, items for disposal, and other necessary items, to various guest accommodations.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage lodging inventory, ensuring that all supplies are stocked, organized, and replenished as needed to meet the demands of housekeeping and guest services.
  • Equipment and Supply Coordination: Ensure the proper handling, delivery, and collection of equipment and supplies used for lodging services, maintaining an organized workflow and reporting any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures while handling supplies and coordinating deliveries to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and inventory status to ensure effective tracking and accountability.
  • Secondary Duties: Assist in other Lodging & Facilities Services tasks as necessary, including backup support for laundry, custodial, and housekeeping functions when needed.
  • Work Area Organization: Maintain clean, orderly, and well-organized work areas to enhance workflow efficiency and ensure easy access to supplies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to complete tasks efficiently and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the overall operations of the Lodging & Facilities Services department and/or other duties as assigned.
Compensation:

Starting at $15.00 per hour, with opportunities for increased compensation based on relevant skills, experience, and demonstrated abilities.

QualificationsQualifications & Skills:

Schedule & Commitment:

Part-time without benefits, or full-time with benefits.

Standard work hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Sunday–Saturday. Actual schedule will be determined based on organizational needs.

Introductory Employment Period:

New employees may be hired into an introductory employment period of up to 90 days. During this period, the employee's performance, attendance, reliability, job fit, and ability to meet the expectations of the position will be evaluated. Employees will be classified and compensated based on the position and hours actually worked. Eligibility for benefits will be determined according to the applicable benefit plan documents and GLCC's benefit eligibility requirements.
