Job summary

Nashville Skyline is seeking a dedicated Houseman to help maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel’s public areas and guest room surroundings. This role supports housekeeping by keeping lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and storage areas neat and safe.

You will assist room attendants, move and arrange furniture, restock supplies, respond to guest requests promptly, and perform routine deep-cleaning tasks as needed. Weekend availability is required to cover peak times.

Responsibilities

• Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects.

Houseman’s primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and general upkeep of the hotel.

The duties and responsibilities of a Houseman include:

• Clean and maintain public areas of the establishment like lobbies, hallways, and restrooms
• Assist room attendants by removing trash and dirty linens from guest rooms
• Restock supplies such as toiletries, linen and other amenities in rooms and common areas
• Respond to guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally
• Assist Front Desk with Guests
• Perform deep-cleaning tasks, like carpet shampooing or washing windows, as needed
• Move and arrange furniture, and turn mattresses periodically
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Chief Engineer
• May assist with laundry duties like washing, drying, and folding linens
• Also, any other duties that may arise
• Must be available weekends
