Job summary

Athena Hospitality Group seeks a helpful Houseman to support the housekeeping department and keep public areas pristine. You will assist housekeepers, deliver linens and supplies, and help with room setup and breakdowns, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests.

Primarily day shifts with variable hours based on occupancy; must be reliable, punctual, and able to lift up to 50 lbs while maintaining a guest-first attitude and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or janitorial is a plus but not required.
• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and time management.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or in a team.

• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to management.
• Ensure carts and equipment are cleaned and stored properly at end of shift.

Position Summary:

The Houseman plays a key support role in the housekeeping department by maintaining cleanliness in public areas, assisting with room supplies, and helping housekeepers with various tasks. This position ensures our hotel remains clean, organized, and welcoming for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, elevators, stairwells, and other public spaces.
  
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners in common areas.
  
• Deliver linens, towels, amenities, and supplies to housekeepers as needed.
  
• Assist with stripping beds and removing used linens from guest rooms.
  
• Set up and break down meeting rooms or banquet spaces when needed.
  
• Maintain cleanliness of back-of-house areas, including laundry rooms and storage closets.
  
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to management.
  
• Ensure all carts and equipment are cleaned and stored properly at end of shift.
