Job summary

Responsibilities

• Maintain lobby, hallways, public restrooms and hotel areas according to standards.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and coordinate with other departments.
• Perform deep cleaning of assigned areas, including shampooing rooms and windows.
• Deliver items to guest rooms on request from Front Desk.
• Check and replenish supplies and cleaning tools.
• Report maintenance problems to the appropriate staff.
• Adhere to safety and internal control procedures.

JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of the House Person position is to assist the room attendants in a timely manner. Provide old world hospitality with charm service the guests in an efficient and accurate manner while creating a memorable visit.

Pay Range: $24.39-$27.10/hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this class and are not all- inclusive:

• Clean and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel lobby, hallways, public restrooms, and public areas of the hotel according to standards
• Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
• Clean and maintain the appearance of the hotel, including external areas
• Deep cleaning of assigned areas of the hotel including the shampooing of rooms and public areas, window washing, hotel light fixtures, and guest elevators
• Clean and maintain the back of the house areas
• Deliver items to guest rooms upon request from the Front Desk
• Check and replenish supplies and cleaning tools
• Report maintenance problems to the appropriate person

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have ability to:

• Communicate effectively with all levels of Team Members, guests, and outside contacts
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Move around all work areas effectively and efficiently
• Work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Extended time seated as well as on your feet

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stopping.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

In addition to the other duties described herein, every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

• Attend required training sessions offered by the casino
• Obtain required licenses
• Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations
• Responsible for taking the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco
• Knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department
• Adhere to Internal Control Procedures and Policies
