Job summary

HJ Staffing is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Worker to join our team and help maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and order for client facilities in Gracewood, GA. Shifts are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday with some weekends; start date July 1, 2026 and contract end July 1, 2027.

Candidates should have at least 6 months of cleaning experience. You will perform a variety of cleaning duties, handle linens and supplies, and operate cleaning equipment while strictly

• Physical ability to lift 25–50 pounds and perform bending/squatting as required for deep cleaning.
• State background check required by law.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties to maintain sanitation and order across assigned areas.
• Dust, clean, and straighten designated spaces.
• Collect, launder, transport, and distribute linens and uniforms.
• Monitor and maintain housekeeping supplies; use cleaning equipment safely.
• Follow safety precautions, especially when disposing of contaminated refuse.

Job Schedule & Hours

Key Responsibilities

As a Housekeeping Worker, you will perform a variety of duties to ensure our client facilities remain sanitary, safe, and welcoming. Your daily tasks will include:

• Performing combinations of cleaning duties to maintain order, sanitation, and overall cleanliness across assigned areas.
• Cleaning, dusting, and straightening up designated facility spaces.
• Collecting, sorting, laundering, transporting, and distributing linens and uniforms.
• Monitoring and maintaining housekeeping supplies as needed.
• Operating basic hand tools and cleaning equipment safely.
• Strictly observing required safety precautions, especially when disposing of contaminated refuse.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 6 months of housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience.
• Skills: Basic knowledge of housekeeping practices, handling cleaning chemicals, and operating standard cleaning equipment.
• Physical Demands: Must be physically able to lift between 25–50 pounds, as well as squat, stoop, or bend continuously as required for deep cleaning.
• Legal/Background Requirement: State law requires a National and State Background Check as a condition of employment for this role.
