Job summary

Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program is seeking a flexible, unionized housekeeping professional to support cleaning and maintenance across facilities in greater Boston. Responsibilities include floor care, room cleaning, trash removal, window washing, and outdoor cleanup while adhering to safety trainings.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, strong organization, clear communication, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Overtime may be required to meet building needs.

Since 1985, BHCHP’s mission has been to ensure unconditionally equitable and dignified access to the highest quality health care for all individuals and families experiencing homelessness in greater Boston. Over 10,000 homeless individuals are cared for by Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program each year. We are committed to ensuring that every one of these individuals has access to comprehensive health care, from preventative dental care to cancer treatment. This position requires the ability to work independently within a team environment. The employee must be able to continuously assess the building needs regarding clean up or maintenance and report these needs to the supervisor. Must be able to take direction well and be flexible in meeting the changing housekeeping and maintenance needs of the building.
