Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Berlin, NH is seeking an experienced, full-time Housekeeping Supervisor to join our management team and lead the housekeeping department. The role requires oversight of daily operations and coordination with other departments to maintain high cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ supervisory experience in a housekeeping setting (long-term care facility preferred).
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to interact professionally with residents, family members, staff and governmental agencies.
• Able to work with minimum supervision and provide leadership.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct departmental team members.
• Assist the Administrator with budget development/expense monitoring; develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures.
• Provide oversight for work performed by outside vendors per contracts/work orders
• Develop and participate in in-services, on-the-job training and orientation programs
• Ensure that personnel follow established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies
• Participate in survey (inspections) and develop Plan of Correction for Housekeeping Department deficiencies
• Assist the Infection Control Coordinator in identifying, evaluating, and classifying routine and job related maintenance functions to ensure that Category I and II Universal Precautions tasks are properly identified
