Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to support the Environmental Services department in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This role assists the Director of Environmental Services in overseeing daily housekeeping operations and ensuring all sanitation and regulatory standards are met.
Schedule is Full-Time from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with every other weekend.

Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to support the Environmental Services department in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This role assists the Director of Environmental Services in overseeing daily housekeeping operations and ensuring all sanitation and regulatory standards are met.
Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the housekeeping department’s programs and activities as directed by the Director of Environmental Services.
Conduct weekly inspections of housekeeping functions to ensure quality control standards are consistently maintained.
Support housekeeping staff in the development and proper use of departmental policies, procedures, equipment, and supplies.
Interpret departmental policies and procedures for employees, residents, visitors, and regulatory agencies as needed.
Assume administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for directing the housekeeping department in the absence of the Director of Environmental Services.
Coordinate housekeeping services with other departments including Nursing, Dietary, and Activities.
Provide written and verbal reports and recommendations regarding housekeeping operations to the Director of Environmental Services.
Ensure accident and incident reports are submitted to Human Resources within 24 hours.
Work with the Infection Control Coordinator and/or Committee to identify housekeeping tasks that may involve exposure to blood or body fluids and ensure proper documentation.
Inspect storage rooms, utility closets, and janitorial areas to ensure proper upkeep and supply control.
Participate in facility surveys and inspections conducted by regulatory agencies.
Complete administrative tasks such as forms, reports, evaluations, and studies as required.
Assist staff on the units and help complete assignments as needed.
Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing home, or related healthcare setting preferred but not required.
Training in environmental control practices and procedures preferred but not required.
Ability to plan, organize, develop, and implement housekeeping department programs, policies, and procedures.
Ability to maintain proper care and use of supplies and equipment.
Must perform regular inspections of resident rooms and facility areas to ensure sanitation, safety, and compliance with standards.
Ability to identify new methods and best practices and incorporate them into existing housekeeping operations.
Must be able to communicate relevant information regarding resident conditions when necessary.
