Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor in Wheat Ridge, CO. The role focuses on administering housekeeping functions, supervising staff, and maintaining guestroom standards.

In the absence of management, you’ll assume supervisory duties and coordinate with Front Office and Engineering. You will oversee daily assignments, ensure records are kept, and help train staff while maintaining high guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Effective verbal and written communication with all staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Room Attendant’s work performance daily to meet standards and productivity.
• In absence of supervisors, inspect VIP rooms and report availability to Front Office.
• Oversee closing of floors and restock of Room Attendants’ carts.
• Maintain records of daily assignments and submit to Housekeeping Office on time.
• Maintain key control and manage Lost and Found items.
• Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, and stairwells.
• Assign duties and ensure staff carry out tasks.
• Keep pager/radio for shift communications with Front Office/Engineering.
• Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager per standards.
• Initiate work orders for repairs and follow through until completed.
• Assist with training Housekeeping staff.
• May clean rooms as needed.
