Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor in Key West to coordinate housekeeping activities in assigned sections and stand in for the Housekeeping Manager as needed.

The role requires a High School diploma and 2–3 years of hotel experience with supervisory exposure. You will ensure daily tasks are completed, maintain cleanliness, and support guest satisfaction while managing staff assignments and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years progressive hotel experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Room Attendant performance in assigned section daily to ensure standards and productivity.
• In absence of Manager, inspect VIP rooms and report availability to Front Office.
• Oversee end-of-day floor closures and restock of carts.
• Maintain records of daily assignments and submit to Housekeeping Office on time.
• Maintain key control and proper lost-and-found handling.
• Monitor cleanliness and order of carts, linen closets, and staff areas.
• Assign daily duties to Room Attendants and House Attendants; ensure coverage.
• Carry pager/radio to stay connected with Front Office/Engineering.
• Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager.
• Initiate and track maintenance work orders; follow through until completion.
• Assist with on-the-job training of housekeeping staff.
• May be asked to clean rooms during busy periods.
• Ensure completion of cleaning projects biannually and overall guest satisfaction.
