Job summary

Valor is seeking an experienced housekeeping supervisor to oversee hotel cleaning operations in Cincinnati, OH. You will supervise staff, conduct regular inspections, resolve guest complaints, and partner with maintenance and front desk to keep rooms guest-ready.

The role requires strong leadership and the ability to manage inventory and safety standards. Three years of Rooms Management experience are preferred, with flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Rooms Management or a related management position.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Strong leadership qualities, the ability to motivate staff, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to make effective decisions under pressure and resolve conflicts.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed by the business.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Inspections: Regularly inspect guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness and safety standards. Document and report any issues or deficiencies to the appropriate department.
• Staff Training and Supervision: Train and supervise housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and guest service standards.
• Guest Interaction: Address and resolve guest complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Inventory Management: Assist in management of cleaning supplies and maintain inventory levels to ensure all necessary materials are available.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to ensure rooms are ready for guests and to facilitate smooth operations.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular audits and spot checks to ensure quality control and consistency among housekeeping staff.
