Job summary

Western Camps, Inc. is seeking a Housekeeping Lead to direct teams across Wonder Valley Ranch Resort & Conference Center, Wonder Valley Outdoor Education, and River Way Ranch Camp near Fresno. You will plan daily and weekly schedules, assign rooms, and ensure guest spaces are clean and ready for arrivals.

This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, teamwork, and flexibility on busy turnover days. No prior professional housekeeping experience is required; we will train you to uphold high standards

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading a team, including assigning work and handling issues.
• Able to build and adjust a schedule to changing workloads.
• Pride in clean, finished work and satisfaction in doing it right.
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish with the team.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and problem-solving.
• Able to lead by example and foster a positive team culture.
• Comfortable using basic technology and property systems.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform cleaning duties as needed.
• Available to work weekends and group turnover days.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily and weekly housekeeping schedules across all programs.
• Assign rooms and lead pre-shift meetings.
• Inspect guest rooms and spaces for cleanliness and readiness.
• Train, coach, and mentor the housekeeping team.
• Manage laundry operations and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain supply inventory and restock ahead of busy weeks.
• Submit and follow through on maintenance requests.
• Coordinate with front office and operations on readiness.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and privacy procedures.
• Step in to help with cleaning on busy turnover days.
• Partner with Operations Manager on staffing and team development.
• Other duties as assigned.
