Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join Hotel Ballast in Wilmington, NC. This role leads a team, ensures top-tier cleanliness, and supports smooth hotel operations.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in a leadership housekeeping role and a high school diploma. Strong communication, basic computer skills, and excellent time management are essential. SHG offers generous benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a leadership housekeeping position.
• High school education (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Inspect suites and public areas for cleanliness and repair.
• Ensure supplies, equipment and uniforms are available.
• Train associates on safety standards and enforce them.
• Perform housekeeping duties including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning.
• Monitor room status and discrepancies throughout shift.
• Open and close shifts as required.
• Notify maintenance for repairs.
• Supervise cleanliness of hotel exterior areas.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed.
• Work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet objectives

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspects all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair.
• Ensure that all associates have proper supplies, equipment and uniform including nametag, gloves and goggles.
• Train associates on safety standards and enforce those standards on a consistent basis. Identify associates engaging in unsafe behaviors and retrain them appropriately. Complete accident investigations and take steps to prevent future accidents.
• Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning.
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
• Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness.
• Perform opening and closing shift duties.
• Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs necessary.
• Monitor cleanliness of hotel including parking lot and exterior entrances.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when required.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

Education and Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years in leadership Housekeeping position
• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writingAbility to exceed expectations of guests and team members
• Excellent time management skills
