Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. The role focuses on leading a team to maintain spotless guest rooms and public areas while upholding safety standards.

Part-time position based in Ann Arbor, MI. DailyPay, telemedicine, health benefits, and a comprehensive benefits package are offered. Prior housekeeping supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect assigned suites and public areas for cleanliness and upkeep.
• Ensure staff have supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
• Train staff on safety standards and enforce compliance.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed (beds, vacuuming, cleaning).
• Monitor room status and quality throughout shifts.
• Open/close shift duties and communicate maintenance needs to leadership.
• Allocate tasks to ensure guest rooms meet standards.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspects all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair.
• Ensure that all associates have proper supplies, equipment and uniform including nametag , gloves and goggles.
• Train associates on safety standards and enforce those standards on a consistent basis. Identify associates engaging in unsafe behaviors and retrain them appropriately. Complete accident investigations and take steps to prevent future accidents.
• Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning.
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
• Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness.
• Perform opening and closing shift duties.
• Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs necessary.
• Monitor cleanliness of hotel including parking lot and exterior entrances.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when required .
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of two (2) years in leadership Housekeeping position
• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred

KNO WLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
