Schulte Hospitality Group and the Mining Exchange Hotel is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor, full-time, to lead our housekeeping team in Colorado Springs. You’ll oversee suites and public areas, train staff, enforce safety standards, and coordinate with maintenance to ensure flawless cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

The role requires at least two years of leadership in housekeeping, strong communication, and reliable time management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in a leadership housekeeping role.
• High School education required; additional schooling preferred.
• Strong communication and time management abilities.
• Attention to safety and guest service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Inspect assigned suites and public areas for cleanliness and repairs.
• Ensure supplies, equipment, uniforms including nametags are available.
• Train and enforce safety standards; retrain as needed.
• Perform housekeeping duties such as beds, vacuuming, cleaning.
• Update room status and intermittent discrepancies.
• Monitor cleanliness of the hotel grounds and entrances.
• Act as Manager on Duty when required; handle night/weekend shifts.
• Coordinate with maintenance for repairs; report issues.
• Support business objectives with additional duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspects all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair.
• Ensure that all associates have proper supplies, equipment and uniform including nametag, gloves and goggles.
• Train associates on safety standards and enforce those standards on a consistent basis. Identify associates engaging in unsafe behaviors and retrain them appropriately. Complete accident investigations and take steps to prevent future accidents.
• Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning.
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
• Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness.
• Perform opening and closing shift duties.
• Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs necessary.
• Monitor cleanliness of hotel including parking lot and exterior entrances.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when required.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of two (2) years in leadership Housekeeping position
• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
• Excellent time management skills
