The Opportunity

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for Supervisory duties in the Housekeeping department. This includes inspecting guest rooms, counseling and interviewing employees, resolving guest complaints, taking inventory and general office duties, etc.

Responsibilities Include:

• Oversee staff on a daily basis
• Coordinate room cleaning
• Train housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness
• Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence
• Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards
• Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job
• Respond to customer complaints and special requests
• Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock including floor cleaner, bleach and rubber gloves
• Participate in large cleaning projects as required
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas

This an hourly position with a compensation of $25.81 per hour

Qualifications

Experience Required

• Availability to work AM and PM Shifts, Holidays and Weekends
• Minimum of 1-year hotel experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic Computer Skills, Microsoft Office

Experience Preferred

• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with industry specific software, such as Opera
