Job summary

Hilton University of Florida Conference Center is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily cleaning operations across guest rooms and public spaces, train new staff, and ensure top cleanliness standards. The role emphasizes guest interaction, team coordination, and compliance with safety protocols.

The supervisor will inspect rooms, assign duties, and collaborate with Front Desk to ensure seamless operations while maintaining high-quality cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in a similar Housekeeping position desirable.
• Engaging and caring personality.
• Time management skills.
• Ability to work on feet for an extended period.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions.
• Ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, and maneuver carts up to 100 lbs; operate cleaning equipment.
• Lift and carry loads of at least 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well.
• Work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort/hotel cleanliness.
• Coordinate the day’s work flow and distribution of duties.
• Inspect guest rooms following highest quality standards.
• Hold department employees accountable for the highest quality standards.
• Supervise and train staff to ensure cleanliness standards.
• Assist with inventory of linen and supplies.
• Assist in performance evaluations.
• Distribute work and assign rooms to staff.
• Coordinate activities with Front Desk Supervisor.
• Report maintenance needs accordingly.
• Ensure safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Find coverage for callouts or increased house counts.
• Perform other related duties as requested by Management.
