Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern Territory is seeking an on-site Camp Hoblitzelle housekeeping supervisor in Midlothian, TX. You will supervise, train, and guide a housekeeping team across a campground and conference center, ensuring daily cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities include scheduling, conducting evaluations, maintaining supplies, and coordinating with facility staff to ensure guest comfort.

Qualifications

• Three years of housekeeping experience with at least one year in a lead or supervisory role.
• Ability to supervise and train staff and provide performance feedback.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules as Camp Hoblitzelle’s booking calendar requires.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, assign and supervise housekeeping staff; conduct evaluations and suggest salary/hiring actions.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, sinks, toilets, mirrors and replenish supplies.
• Clean and sanitize offices, common areas and dining rooms; sanitize beds.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and order new stock as needed.

Job Location: TX-Camp Hoblitzelle - Midlothian, TX 76065, Education Level: N/A, Salary Range: $14.54 - $18.17 Hourly, Job Category: Property, Schedule/Hours: Various, depending on Camp Hoblitzelle's booking schedule.

This position is responsible for:

Supervises, participates, instructs, and monitors the day-to-day general housekeeping of the entire Hoblitzelle Camp and Conference Center; cleans rooms; maintains the neatness and cleanliness of the resident facility on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, assigns, and supervises the work of subordinate janitorial and housekeeping personnel; conducts performance evaluations and provides salary and hiring/firing recommendations.
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sinks and toilets, polishes mirrors, and replenishes supplies.
• Cleans and sanitizes all offices, common areas, and dining rooms; sanitizes beds.
• Maintains and organizes inventory of laundry supplies; orders new supplies to ensure stock is always available.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.
• Ability to exert the physical energy required to perform the needed janitorial work.
• Extensive amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) frequently.
• Working Conditions: Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to dirt, dust, disagreeable sights and/or odors, and various temperatures.

• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
