Job summary

Waterford Hotel Group in the United States is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead and develop the housekeeping team, inspect rooms to ensure brand standards, and coordinate with other departments to maintain service levels. You will train room attendants, assign tasks, and handle guest requests while ensuring timely completion, proper laundry and housekeeping tasks, and open/close of the department.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping Supervisor

Along with the Room Attendants, you have the unique opportunity to make a guest's stay memorable. The Housekeeping Supervisor will inspect the room before the guests arrive to ensure the room is the best it can be. This position will delegate any issues to the appropriate departments and act accordingly to remove the room from inventory. The housekeeping supervisor will also train room attendants to ensure the standards of cleanliness are met. Assign tasks, planning, providing all necessary training and handling customer requests.

Responsibilities include:

• Meticulously inspect guest rooms to meet guest and brand standards.
• Train, Coach and Develop members of housekeeping team
• Ensure housekeeping tasks are assigned and completed in timely fashion.
• Assist in Laundry and Houseman duties, when necessary.
• Ability to Open and Close Housekeeping department.
• Communicate needs with MOD, when Housekeeping Manager is off property.
• Control and report lost and found items in a timely manner.
• Schedule appropriately with Housekeeping Manager
• Time management and Problem solving skills.
• Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs.
• Updating status of guest rooms to appropriate departments.
