Job summary

Hotel Duval in Tallahassee, part of Schulte Hospitality Group, is seeking a hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our guestroom and public area teams.

You will mentor staff, schedule shifts, oversee quality control, coordinate with Front Desk and Maintenance, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

What You Will Do

• Lead Quality Control: Inspect guest rooms, suites, and public areas daily to ensure our signature standards of immaculate presentation are met without exception.
• Mentor and Empower: Supervise, schedule, and inspire our housekeeping team, fostering an encouraging culture where everyone can succeed.
• Drive Efficiency: Manage room turnover tracking, coordinate inventory and linen supplies, and partner seamlessly with Front Desk and Maintenance teams to deliver flawless arrivals.
• Champion Safety & Standards: Maintain Lost & Found protocols and ensure all safety, sanitation, and brand compliance standards are consistently enforced.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspects all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair.
• Ensure that all associates have proper supplies, equipment and uniform including nametag, gloves and goggles.
• Train associates on safety standards and enforce those standards on a consistent basis. Identify associates engaging in unsafe behaviors and retrain them appropriately. Complete accident investigations and take steps to prevent future accidents.
• Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning.
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
• Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness.
• Perform opening and closing shift duties.
• Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs necessary.
• Monitor cleanliness of hotel including parking lot and exterior entrances.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when required.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

Education and Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years in leadership Housekeeping position
• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
• Excellent time management skills
