Job summary

Luxor Healthcare is seeking a proactive Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team in maintaining a clean, safe, patient-friendly facility in St. Louis. You will assign tasks, monitor daily cleaning operations, ensure sanitation standards, and coordinate with staff and residents to deliver a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a 10th-grade education or equivalent.
• Speak and write English fluently.
• Demonstrate leadership and team supervision abilities.
• Experience in housekeeping and facility cleanliness.
• Able to relate to residents and staff politely and diplomatically.
• Must pass a thorough background screen.
• Must meet the physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks to the Housekeeping team.
• Take responsibility for the cleanliness and appearance of the facility.
• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions and tasks per daily assignments and procedures.
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and polish furnishings.
• Clean floors and bathrooms as directed.
• Spot-check assigned vacant rooms and clean as needed.
• Follow safety and infection control practices when performing tasks and using equipment.
• Clean work carts and equipment as necessary.
• Attend departmental meetings, in-service classes, and training programs as scheduled.

Housekeeping Supervisor – Requirements:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th-grade education.
• Speak and write the English language.

Housekeeping Supervisor – Duties & Responsibilities:

• Follow facility-established safety and infection control practices when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.
• Clean work/supply carts and equipment as necessary.
• Attend departmental and staff meetings, in-service educational classes, and on-the-job training programs, as scheduled or called.
