Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at the Angad Arts Hotel St Louis. This role leads housekeeping operations, ensuring clean rooms and public areas while managing staff and safety practices in a fast-paced hotel environment.

The position requires a minimum of two years in a leadership housekeeping role and a high school diploma, with opportunities for growth within a diverse portfolio of properties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in a leadership housekeeping role.
• High school education required; post-secondary preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect suites and public areas for cleanliness and repair.
• Ensure supplies and uniforms are available for all associates.
• Train staff on safety and enforce standards; investigate accidents.
• Perform housekeeping duties including bed making, vacuuming, and cleaning.
• Monitor room status and notify management of repairs as needed.
• Open/close shift duties and manage duties per business needs.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspects all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair.
• Ensure that all associates have proper supplies, equipment and uniform including nametag , gloves and goggles.
• Train associates on safety standards and enforce those standards on a consistent basis. Identify associates engaging in unsafe behaviors and retrain them appropriately. Complete accident investigations and take steps to prevent future accidents.
• Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning.
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
• Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness.
• Perform opening and closing shift duties.
• Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs necessary.
• Monitor cleanliness of hotel including parking lot and exterior entrances.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when required .
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of two (2) years in leadership Housekeeping position
• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred

KNO WLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
