Job summary

Capital Vacations in Sedona, AZ seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to uphold top cleaning standards for resort properties and units, ensuring safe, clean, and attractive accommodations with friendly service.

You will direct housekeeping duties, manage staff schedules, train and mentor team members, supervise laundry operations, inspect facilities, and oversee inventory and budgets. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of housekeeping supervisor experience preferred.
• Demonstrable leadership skills required.
• Scheduling flexibility needed for shifts.
• Energetic and detail-oriented with passion for cleanliness.
• Able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Directs and performs housekeeping duties: cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, linen replacement, laundry, and inventory of housewares.
• Establishes and plans daily work assignments and schedules staff.
• Trains and coaches employees in laundry and housekeeping.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
• Orders cleaning materials and manages budget for supplies.
• Responds quickly to guest requests and coordination with other departments.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.

• Directs and performs all housekeeping duties from cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, linen replacement to laundry, and inventory management of housewares
• Performs or assists with cleaning duties as necessary
• Establishes an employee work schedule and plans daily work assignments
• Trains and coaches employee in laundry and housekeeping
• Checks equipment to ensure that it is in working order
• Cooperates with the housekeeping staff and other departments to provide quality service to all Owners and guests
• Controls lost and found articles
• Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work needed
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the storage area
• Orders cleaning materials and maintains a budget
• Responds quickly to requests from guests and other departments
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Practices safe working conditions under the Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines, including Bloodborne Pathogens
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships within the team
• Counsels and disciplines employees
• All other duties as assigned
