Overview: The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees and coordinates housekeeping functions in assigned sections and assumes all Housekeeping Manager responsibilities in their absence.

Responsibilities:

1. Inspect Room Attendant’s work performance daily to ensure standards and productivity are met.
2. In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant, inspect VIP rooms and report their status to the Front Office.
3. Oversee the closing of floors at day’s end, ensuring carts are clean and stocked.
4. Ensure timely completion and documentation of daily assignments.
5. Maintain key control procedures.
6. Handle Lost and Found items according to standards.
7. Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways, and landings.
8. Assign daily duties to Room Attendants and House Attendants.
9. Carry an active pager/radio for communication with Front Office and Engineering.
10. Report progress on out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager.
11. Initiate and follow up on repair and maintenance work orders with Engineering.
12. Assist in training housekeeping staff.
13. May need to clean rooms as business requires.
14. Ensure completion of cleaning projects biannually.
15. Maintain overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent; college coursework helpful.
• Two to three years of progressive hotel or related experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to stand throughout the shift.
