Overview: The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees housekeeping functions within assigned sections and assumes all Housekeeping Manager duties in their absence.

Responsibilities:

1. Inspect Room Attendant’s work performance daily to ensure standards and productivity are maintained.
2. In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant, inspect VIP rooms and report their status to the Front Office.
3. Oversee the closing of floors at day’s end, ensuring carts are clean and stocked.
4. Complete and submit daily assignment records to the Housekeeping Office on time.
5. Maintain key control procedures.
6. Manage 'Lost and Found' items according to standards.
7. Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways, and landings.
8. Assign daily duties to Room Attendants and House Attendants.
9. Maintain communication via pager/radio with Front Office and Engineering during shifts.
10. Report progress on out-of-order rooms to the Guest Services Manager.
11. Initiate and follow up on work orders for repairs and maintenance.
12. Assist in training Housekeeping staff.
13. May need to clean rooms as needed.
14. Ensure biannual cleaning projects are completed.
15. Strive to ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; college coursework helpful.
• Two to three years of progressive hotel or related experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to stand throughout shift.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, friendly and courteous attitude.
