Job summary

Arbor Lodging is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee housekeeping functions in assigned sections and step in for Housekeeping Manager when needed. You will coordinate Room Attendants, monitor cleanliness, and ensure standards are met to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

The role requires working varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, maintaining records, and collaborating with Front Office and Maintenance to manage room status and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or educational equivalent preferred.
• Previous hotel-related experience required.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting 20 lbs is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Room Attendant's work performance within assigned section on a daily basis to ensure standards and productivity levels are met.
• In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Housekeeping Manager, inspect VIP rooms and report availability to Front Office per hotel standards.
• Oversee the closing of floors, ensuring carts are clean and restocked.
• Maintain records of daily assignments, signed off and submitted to Housekeeping Office on time.
• Maintain key control and monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, and stairways.
• Oversee daily duties assignments for Room Attendants and House Attendants.
• Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager per standards.
• Collaborate with Maintenance to communicate out-of-order rooms.
• Assist with training of Housekeeping staff.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Summary:

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for administering and coordinating housekeeping functions in assigned sections, as well as assuming all Housekeeping Manager functions in their absence.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Supervisor will work various shifts, 7 days a week including weekends and holidays.

• Inspect Room Attendant's work performance within assigned section on a daily basis to ensure the standards and productivity levels are being met and maintained
• In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Housekeeping Manager, inspect all V.I.P. rooms and report their availability to the Front Office, according to hotel standards
• Oversee the closing of the floors at the end of the day, ensuring the Room Attendants' carts are clean and restocked
• Ensure records of daily assignments are completed, signed off and turned into the Housekeeping Office on time
• Maintain key control
• Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of Room Attendants' carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways and landings
• Oversee the daily assignment of duties, ensuring Room Attendants and House Attendants carry a work assignment.
• Report on progress of all out-of-order rooms under the Housekeeping Department's supervision to the Guest Services Manager, according to standards.
• Collaborate with Maintenance staff to communicate out of order rooms
• Assist with training of Housekeeping staff
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction
