Job summary

Arbor Lodging is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to coordinate housekeeping in assigned sections and cover Manager duties when needed.

You will work varied shifts including weekends and holidays, inspect Room Attendants, manage carts and inventories, and ensure guest satisfaction in a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or educational equivalent.
• Previous hotel-related experience is required.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting 20 lbs is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Room Attendant's work performance daily to ensure standards and productivity.
• In the absence of supervisorial staff, inspect VIP rooms and report availability to Front Office.
• Oversee closing of floors and restock of carts.
• Maintain records of daily assignments and submit to Housekeeping Office on time.
• Maintain key control and monitor carts/linen closets/stairways.
• Assign daily duties to Room Attendants and House Attendants.
• Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager.
• Collaborate with Maintenance on out-of-order rooms.
• Assist with training and ensure guest satisfaction.

Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for administering and coordinating housekeeping functions in assigned sections, as well as assuming all Housekeeping Manager functions in their absence.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Supervisor will work various shifts, 7 days a week including weekends and holidays.

• Inspect Room Attendant's work performance within assigned section on a daily basis to ensure the standards and productivity levels are being met and maintained
• In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Housekeeping Manager, inspect all V.I.P. rooms and report their availability to the Front Office, according to hotel standards
• Oversee the closing of the floors at the end of the day, ensuring the Room Attendants' carts are clean and restocked
• Ensure records of daily assignments are completed, signed off and turned into the Housekeeping Office on time
• Maintain key control
• Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of Room Attendants' carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways and landings
• Oversee the daily assignment of duties, ensuring Room Attendants and House Attendants carry a work assignment.
• Report on progress of all out-of-order rooms under the Housekeeping Department's supervision to the Guest Services Manager, according to standards.
• Collaborate with Maintenance staff to communicate out of order rooms
• Assist with training of Housekeeping staffEnsure overall guest satisfaction
