• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing guest rooms and all areas inside the facility and on the property.
• Ensures the facility remains clean, sanitary, and odor-free in compliance with regulations.
• Manages the Housekeeping Department within budgetary guidelines.
• Provides annual performance reviews and coaching.
• Trains and educates staff on safety and infection control.
• Maintains infection control standards and safety procedures.
• Reports hazards and supply issues to leadership.
• Upholds residents' privacy and dignity while interacting warmly.
• Responds promptly to call lights in care areas.
• Assists with admissions and transfers as needed.
• Communicates effectively with guests, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Attends departmental meetings and trainings.

Position: Housekeeping Supervisor

Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

As a Housekeeping Supervisor at Friendly Village Nursing and Rehab, you will play a vital role in overseeing the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall upkeep of the facility. You will lead and support the housekeeping team to ensure that residents, visitors, and staff enjoy a clean, safe, and comfortable environment while maintaining the facility's cleanliness standards and operational requirements.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

• Plans, directs, and supervises the activities of the housekeeping staff.
• Responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of Guest rooms and all areas inside the facility, as well as outside and the entire property.
• Ensures the facility is kept clean, sanitary, and odor-free at all times in compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations.
• Responsible for operating the Housekeeping Department within budgetary guidelines and limitations.
• Completes annual performance reviews of all subordinate staff. Provides guidance and education to staff in regard to their performance.
• Responsible for training and educating staff members.
• Assure that established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained at all times. Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.
• Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, and supply issues to the appropriate persons.
• Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of Guests/guests and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth and respect and promotes a caring environment.
• Must answer and respond to call lights promptly and courteously when working in Guest care areas.
• Assist with new admissions, re-admissions, and assist with the transfer of Guests to different rooms within the facility.
• Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Guests, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
