Job summary

HHM Hospitality is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee housekeeping staff, ensure brand and guest service standards, and uphold sustainability guidelines. You will train, schedule, coach and support associates and assist with hiring as needed.

The role involves coordinating room cleaning to standards, communicating guest service scores, managing supplies, and ensuring safety. Occasional room cleaning and breakfast-area support may be required, with flexibility for varying shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training required.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train, schedule, coach and support associates to meet brand/hotel standards.
• Screen applicants and hire new employees when needed.
• Train staff to clean rooms efficiently and to established standards.
• Communicate guest service scores to drive improvement.
• Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to associates.
• Occasionally clean rooms or assist staff with cleaning.
• Address associate performance concerns with management or vendors.
• Supervise laundry staff if applicable.
• Prepare work schedules based on occupancy and staffing needs.
• Follow EarthView sustainability guidelines and safety protocols.
• Assist in the breakfast area as needed.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction and perform other duties as requested.

Your Focus

• Train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values.
• Screen job applicants, and hire new employees (in the event housekeeping associates are HHM employees.)
• Train staff to clean rooms in an efficient manner according to established standards or partner with external vendors to ensure staff is trained properly.
• Be aware of and communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction.
• Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to associates.
• On occasion, clean rooms or assist staff with cleaning rooms.
• Address associate performance and behavior concerns by either direct intervention with HHM associates or through vendors.
• Supervise laundry employees, if applicable.
• Prepare work schedules for HHM associates or provide vendors with anticipated occupancy to ensure proper staffing levels.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.

Your Background and Skills
