Job summary

HRI Hospitality is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor at our historic Plymouth Building property in Minneapolis. You will supervise daily housekeeping operations, inspect guest rooms and public areas, and ensure adherence to brand standards while maintaining guest satisfaction.

You will train and coach staff, manage schedules, monitor supply control, and report maintenance concerns. This role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs; weekend and holiday

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality coursework or certification preferred.
• Experience: 1 year housekeeping experience in hotel; supervision/lead preferred; experience with PMS software is a plus.
• Skills: attention to detail, communication, leadership, problem-solving, training and coaching, organization, time management, safety, and chemical handling.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, hallways, and public areas for cleanliness and brand standards.
• Assist training of new employees on procedures and safety guidelines.
• Ensure carts, closets, and supply rooms are clean, stocked, and organized.
• Address guest requests and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
• Report maintenance concerns and ensure timely follow-up.
• Monitor productivity and assist with scheduling and labor management.
• Maintain records of inspections, assignments, and supply usage.
• Uphold safety, sanitation, and company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Hospitality coursework or certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience in a hotel environment. Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred. Experience with housekeeping software or PMS systems (HotSOS, OnQ, Opera, etc.) a plus.
• Skills & Knowledge: Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to train, coach, and motivate team members. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and chemical handling. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50–75 lbs. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
