Job summary

Lenox Berkshires in Lenox, MA is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the hotel’s housekeeping team across guest rooms, corridors, and public areas. The role includes supervising attendants, inspecting rooms, and ensuring timely completion of tasks while maintaining high cleanliness standards.

The candidate should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least one year of experience as a Room Attendant, plus strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect completed guest rooms for cleanliness and rental status.

• Assume duties of Executive Housekeeper in their absence.
• If needed, will also clean rooms or perform other duties for the day.
• Hours are flexible to meet business needs, including weekends, nights and holidays.

Responsible for all floors assigned. See that the Room Attendants have the proper and necessary equipment and supplies. Job requirements include high school diploma or equivalent with one year’s experience as Room Attendant. Ability to deal with guests and personnel with poise. Problem solving, reasoning, and training abilities. Reading, writing, mathematical abilities, including basic math. Must be unquestionably honest and dependable. Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting and carrying, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, bending and able to walk stairs. Carrying and/or lifting approximately 50 pounds and pushing and/or pulling approximately 200 pounds occurs infrequently.*Duties to include, but not limited to*:* Inspect completed guest rooms for cleanliness and rental status.* Supervise housekeeping personnel to assure timely and effective completion of work assignments through proper instruction and inspection of completed tasks.* Complete a daily report that indicates the cleanliness, rental status, and required maintenance work for his/her assigned rooms.* Assumes duties of Executive Housekeeper/Assistant Executive Housekeeper in their absence.* If needed will also clean rooms, inspect or whatever role is necessary for the day.* This is a working position and hours must be flexible to meet the demands of the business.
