Qualifications

Hilton Marco Island Resort and Spa is currently seeking a dynamic Housekeeping Supervisor to join the best team on Marco Island! Position Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor works with the Executive Housekeeper to assist in the supervision of the housekeeping and laundry operation to ensure product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to hotel guests according to hotel and company business objectives. In addition to inspecting rooms and training room attendants, this position will perform cleaning duties in all areas of the hotel. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for delivering clean rooms for occupancy that meet the brand’s time, product, and placement standards.

Essential Functions

• Partner with the Executive Housekeeper to recruit, develop, manage, and monitor performance while making any recommendations for disciplinary and other human resources-related actions.
• Inspect all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, guest suites, equipment, linens, and public areas are clean and in good repair to meet guest expectations. Advise employees of deficiencies and instruct on corrective action. Provide retraining as needed.
• Assist with training of employees and ensuring that they have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their respective job duties.
• Assist with scheduling and room cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
• May perform all housekeeping duties necessary including cleaning guest suites and hotel public space to ensure guest satisfaction and owner expectations.
• Partner with the Executive Housekeeper to inventory and maintain par levels for linen and room supplies.
• Monitor commercial laundry supplies and equipment to ensure they are sufficient and in working order.
• Responsible for smooth operation of the room assignments.
• Supervise Room Attendants during the workday.
• Daily allocation of rooms and deep cleaning tasks to team members.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms, corridors, and heart of the house area of the building.
• Checks the occupied and departure rooms, giving special attention to guest needs.
• Ensures that the entire operation is performed as per hotel/brand and company standards.
• Manage guest requests, including VIP amenities and communicating them to the relevant team members
• Routine inspection of guest bedrooms to ensure they meet standards.
• Manage procedures of lost and found items.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other shifts and departmental management.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding health and safety services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus two years housekeeping experience including some supervisory training/experience.

Experience:

• 1 year in a Supervisory role
• 3 years in full-service hospitality

Licenses or certificates:

• Any licenses or permits that may be required by law or company regulations, such as an Electrician's license.

Other:

• Additional language ability preferred.
• Experience with opening new hotels or extensive renovation projects.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
