The Housekeeping Supervisor at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Downtown Little Rock is responsible for overseeing cleaning and preparation of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas. The role includes assuming the duties of the Executive Housekeeper in their absence.
Essential Functions
- Ensure completion of daily objectives while maintaining hotel brand standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Monitor and direct all housekeeping and laundry personnel.
- Inspect rooms and ensure quality and cleanliness in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
- Manage daily departmental tasks, including opening and closing the housekeeping department, and inspecting guest rooms.
- Conduct daily staff meetings and monitor work orders, following up on maintenance requests.
- Balance and clear room status reports nightly, resolving discrepancies.
- Review Guest Request logs daily, proactively addressing issues.
- Monitor VIP and special guest requests.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards regarding hazardous chemicals.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly inventories.
- Follow company procedures for cleaning and guest room preparation.
- Perform pre-cleaning duties, restock supplies, and conduct deep cleaning activities as needed.
- Interact with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain attendance, grooming standards, and complete assigned duties, including cleaning guest rooms when not covering supervisor duties.
Minimum Qualifications
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience in hotel housekeeping or related field.
- Ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Basic arithmetic proficiency.
- Ability to maintain key control and proficiency in Windows and office software.
- Desire to serve guests and meet job age requirement of 18+.
