Liberty Hospital seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning across entryways, patient rooms, offices and common areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Under the Housekeeping Manager, you will supervise staff, train new employees, schedule work, manage supplies, and coordinate with contracted services as needed. A High School Diploma and 2+ years in cleaning or facilities are preferred for this full-time role.

Position Summary / Career Interest

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager, this position is responsible for the overall cleaning of the hospital including but not limited to entryways, hallways, offices, surgical suites and turnover of patient rooms.

Responsibilities And Essential Job Functions

• This position is responsible for multiple units and supervises employees engaged in the cleaning of all areas of the hospital. Communicates with Manager any issues with employee’s performance, changes with work assignments, maintenance work needing contracted; other duties as assigned.
• Orders flat linen daily and stocks linen supply room.
• Orders supplies and monitors weekly inventory of paper products and chemicals to ensure proper supply on hand.
• Trains and precepts housekeepers in performance of duties.
• When applicable, ensures contracted service crew completes assigned work and quality of work.
• Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
• Cleans offices, patient rooms, common areas, lavatories, halls, food service areas and other areas as needed.
• Cleans light fixtures, ceilings, vents, mattresses, furniture, window coverings, floors and carpets.
• Cleans by dusting, mopping, vacuuming and sweeping.
• Replenishes supplies. Takes care of floors including stripping, waxing and shampooing.
• Promotes effective teamwork.
• Displays professional behavior and positive attitude at all times.
• Adheres to organizational policies and procedures.
• Effectively manages hospital resources (time, supplies, equipment, etc.).
• Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education And Experience
