Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Housekeeper I for the Strawberry Hill Campus. This part-time role supports cleaning and maintaining patient areas, offices and common spaces to ensure a safe, sanitary environment.

Scheduling includes Thursday, Friday, and Saturday shifts as listed. Responsibilities include surface cleaning, waste management, supply replenishment, and collaboration with team members.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 1+ years of experience in hospital housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Maintains premises in a clean and orderly manner.
• Cleans offices, patient rooms, common areas, lavatories, halls, food service areas and other areas that may require attention.
• Cleans light fixtures, ceilings, vents, mattresses, furniture, window coverings, floors and carpets.
• Cleans by dusting, mopping, vacuuming and sweeping.
• Replenishes supplies.
• Moves furniture, hangs draperies and set up tables and chairs.
• Promotes effective teamwork.
• Displays professional behavior and positive attitude at all times.
• Adheres to organizational policies and procedures.
• Effectively manages hospital resources (time, supplies, equipment, etc.).
• Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
