General Hotels Corporation is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor for our Crowne Plaza Indianapolis hotel. The primary responsibilities include monitoring and training staff, enforcing performance standards, and issuing disciplinary actions as needed. The Housekeeping Supervisor must possess clear knowledge of hotel standards and ensure staff compliance with hotel rules, policies, and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Open and/or close the housekeeping office, including breaking out the house and completing end-of-day paperwork.
2. Monitor contract labor employees, track hours, and fax the hour sheet in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.
3. Manage efficiency by monitoring hours worked and managing excess hours.
4. Inspect rooms daily to maintain hotel standards and ensure staff have completed assigned tasks, including proper stocking.
5. Oversee public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
6. Assist in training new employees.
7. Cover shifts and perform other duties such as cleaning rooms and laundry when needed.
8. Supervise laundry staff to ensure smooth operations.
9. Maintain knowledge of hotel procedures, including lost and found and shipping, and keep accurate records.
