Job summary

Arbor Lodging is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to coordinate housekeeping in assigned sections and to assume all Housekeeping Manager functions in their absence. The Supervisor will work various shifts seven days a week including weekends and holidays, oversee daily assignments, monitor carts and linen closets, and report progress on out-of-order rooms to the Guest Services Manager.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Room Attendants' work to ensure standards and productivity.
• In absence of the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant, inspect VIP rooms and report availability to Front Office.
• Oversee the closing of the floors at the end of the day and ensure carts are clean and restocked.
• Maintain records of daily assignments, get them signed off, and submit to Housekeeping Office on time.
• Maintain key control and monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways and landings.
• Oversee daily assignment of duties so Room Attendants and House Attendants have a work plan.
• Report progress of out-of-order rooms to the Guest Services Manager per standards.
• Collaborate with Maintenance to communicate out-of-order rooms and assist with training.

Summary:

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for administering and coordinating housekeeping functions in assigned sections, as well as assuming all Housekeeping Manager functions in their absence.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Supervisor will work various shifts, 7 days a week including weekends and holidays.

• Inspect Room Attendant's work performance within assigned section on a daily basis to ensure the standards and productivity levels are being met and maintained
• In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Housekeeping Manager, inspect all V.I.P. rooms and report their availability to the Front Office, according to hotel standards
• Oversee the closing of the floors at the end of the day, ensuring the Room Attendants' carts are clean and restocked
• Ensure records of daily assignments are completed, signed off and turned into the Housekeeping Office on time
• Maintain key control
• Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of Room Attendants' carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways and landings
• Oversee the daily assignment of duties, ensuring Room Attendants and House Attendants carry a work assignment.
• Report on progress of all out-of-order rooms under the Housekeeping Department's supervision to the Guest Services Manager, according to standards.
• Collaborate with Maintenance staff to communicate out of order rooms
• Assist with training of Housekeeping staff
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction

Requirements
