Position Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor ensures that guest rooms and public areas meet the highest cleanliness standards. This role involves overseeing the housekeeping and laundry teams, managing resources, and fostering a positive work environment that promotes exceptional guest service and staff efficiency.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Supervise the housekeeping staff, providing open communication, training, coaching, and feedback to ensure high performance and efficiency.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Issue assignments to staff, considering special requests and areas of focus to maintain smooth operations.
• Distribute supplies to staff at the start of each shift, managing inventory and controlling expenses.
• Respond to guest requests, concerns, and issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Manage Lost and Found, logging items and handling guest inquiries.
• Follow emergency procedures to protect the hotel, guests, staff, and assets.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available for regular shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support overall housekeeping operations.

Position Requirements

• Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to move throughout the building, bend, stoop, and reach to assist staff members in completing tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation.
