The role oversees housekeeping staff, inspects guest rooms and public areas, and assists the Executive Housekeeper in maintaining hotel cleanliness.

The position requires leadership, ability to train staff, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel setting or open to training.
• One year housekeeping experience is a plus.
• Able to work alone or as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Can move carts up to 100 lbs and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Engaging personality is essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervises cleaning personnel and inspects rooms and public areas.
• Records inspection results and communicates issues to staff.
• Trains staff on housekeeping procedures as needed.
• Assists Executive Housekeeper with overall cleanliness of the hotel.
• Oversees department and adheres to company policies and laws.
• Interviews, hires, trains, and conducts performance reviews for staff.
• Cleans rooms and public areas as assigned.
• Works shifts including weekends and holidays when required.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott-Cleveland/ Solon is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join their housekeeping team!

A Housekeeping Supervisor, oversees and supervises cleaning personnel and inspects hotel guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors and lobbies by performing the following duties. Responsible assisting the Executive Housekeeper with the overall cleanliness of the hotel including rooms and public areas.

• Maintains cleanliness standards for both guest rooms and public areas and inspects them to ensure that standards are met.
• Records inspection results and notifies cleaning personnel of inadequacies.
• Trains or re-trains staff on proper housekeeping procedures when needed.
• In absence of Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the housekeeping department supervision.
• Supervises employees in housekeeping department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations’ policies and applicable laws.
• Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; planning, assigning, directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Cleans rooms and public areas as assigned by Executive Housekeeper.
• Working typical shifts that include weekends and holidays when required.

What You Bring:

• Previous experience in a hotel setting or open to training.
• One year previous housekeeping experience is a plus.
• Able to work alone or as part of a team.
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
• Can navigate a cart weighing up to 100 lbs., and lift, carry up to 25 lbs.
