Job summary

The Summit Hotel Cincinnati is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee all housekeeping operations, ensuring cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and cost control.

Under the Executive Housekeeper or Director of Housekeeping, you will supervise staff, conduct inspections, train team members, handle guest concerns, manage supplies, and coordinate with maintenance and front desk to maintain quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Rooms Management or a related management position.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Strong leadership qualities, the ability to motivate staff, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to make effective decisions under pressure and resolve conflicts.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed by the business.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Inspections: Regularly inspect guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards.
• Staff Training and Supervision: Train and supervise housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and guest service standards.
• Guest Interaction: Address and resolve guest complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Inventory Management: Assist in management of cleaning supplies and maintain inventory levels to ensure all necessary materials are available.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to ensure rooms are ready for guests and to facilitate smooth operations.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular audits and spot checks to ensure quality control and consistency among housekeeping staff.
