Job summary

Peregrine Yountville Management LLC seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to coordinate and supervise housekeeping tasks across sections at the property. The role includes ensuring adherence to standards, training staff, and stepping in for the Housekeeping Manager when needed.

The candidate should have 2–3 years of hotel experience, with prior supervisory responsibilities preferred, and be able to manage VIP room statuses and daily assignments while maintaining safety and quality throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.

Responsibilities

• Administer and coordinate housekeeping functions in assigned sections.
• Assume Housekeeping Manager duties in their absence.
• Inspect Room Attendant performance daily to ensure standards.
• Oversee VIP room status and communicate with Front Office.
• Manage end-of-day floor closures and cart restocking.
• Maintain records of daily assignments and sign-offs.
• Handle Lost and Found items per standards.
• Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, and stairways.
• Assign daily duties and ensure staff carries work assignments.
• Maintain radio contact with Front Office/Engineering during shift.
• Initiate and follow up on maintenance work orders.
• Assist with training of Housekeeping staff.
• Ensure cleaning projects are completed as scheduled.
• Abide by hotel policies and safety rules.

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for administering and coordinating housekeeping functions in assigned sections, as well as assuming all Housekeeping Manager functions in their absence.

Essential Functions

• Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
• Must participate in all hotel required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
• Inspect Room Attendant’s work performance within assigned section on a daily basis to ensure the standards and productivity levels are being met and maintained.
• In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Housekeeping Manager, inspect all V.I.P. rooms and report their availability to the Front Office, according to hotel standards.
• Oversee the closing of the floors at the end of the day, ensuring the Room Attendants’ carts are clean and restocked.
• Ensure records of daily assignments are completed, signed off and turned into the Housekeeping Office on time.
• Handle items for "Lost and Found" according to the standards.
• Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of Room Attendants’ carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways, and landings.
• Oversee the daily assignment of duties, ensuring Room Attendants and House Attendants carry a work assignment.
• Carry an active radio to maintain contact with the Front Office and/or Engineering throughout the shift.
• Initiate work orders for repairs and maintenance and forward to Engineering. Follow through on each work order until completed.
• Assist with training of Housekeeping staff.
• Ensure completion of cleaning projects as scheduled.
• Abide by all hotel policies and safety rules.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.

Working Conditions and Schedule

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required, including nights, weekends or holidays.
• Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Must be able to stand during entire shift.
• Sitting, bending, squatting, stretching, excessive walking.
• May have exposure to chemicals.
