Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Austin University Capitol District seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee housekeeping staff, ensuring guest comfort, brand standards, and sustainability practices. You will train, schedule, coach, and support associates, enforce safety guidelines, and assist in the breakfast area as needed.

You will manage cleaning operations, monitor guest satisfaction, and address performance while coordinating with vendors for training and supplies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred and previous housekeeping experience required.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Experience coaching staff and maintaining brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping staff and ensure brand/guest service standards are met.
• Train, schedule, coach and support associates to perform to HHM standards.
• Screen applicants and hire new employees when needed.
• Train staff to clean rooms efficiently and in accordance with standards.
• Monitor guest service scores and drive improvements.
• Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to associates.
• On occasion, clean rooms or assist with cleaning.
• Address associate performance concerns with HHM or vendors.
• Supervise laundry staff if applicable.
• Prepare work schedules and coordinate staffing with occupancy.
• Follow EarthView sustainability guidelines and safety procedures.
• Assist in the breakfast area as needed.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction and perform other duties as requested.

Your Focus

• Train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values.
• Screen job applicants, and hire new employees (in the event housekeeping associates are HHM employees.)
• Train staff to clean rooms in an efficient manner according to established standards or partner with external vendors to ensure staff is trained properly.
• Be aware of and communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction.
• Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to associates.
• On occasion, clean rooms or assist staff with cleaning rooms.
• Address associate performance and behavior concerns by either direct intervention with HHM associates or through vendors.
• Supervise laundry employees, if applicable.
• Prepare work schedules for HHM associates or provide vendors with anticipated occupancy to ensure proper staffing levels.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.

Your Background And Skills

• High School diploma preferred.
