Job summary

Riverbank Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Staff member for a 99-bed skilled nursing facility in California. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in patient rooms and common areas on a daily basis.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting and mopping floors, and proper waste disposal. A high school diploma and 6 months of related experience are preferred to join our supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• At least 6 months of experience in a long-term care setting or related environment preferred.
• Previous Housekeeping experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day housekeeping in the facility in accordance with current standards and regulations.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks as assigned, including rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and polish bathroom fixtures and surfaces as needed.
• Clean windows, mirrors, floors, and maintain clean and sanitary environments.
• Ensure waste is disposed of properly and areas are organized and safe.

Riverbank Post Acute is a 99-bed Medicare and Medi-Cal certified skilled nursing facility and is one of the newest additions to the American Specialty Management group based in Modesto, California.

Position Overview:

The Housekeeping Staff provide the day-to-day housekeeping in the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility and to assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.

Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.

Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.

Clean/polish furnishing, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident rooms, recreational areas, etc., daily as instructed.

Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures. Ensure that water marks are removed from fixtures.

Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways.

Clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, etc. (NOTE: Ensure that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties.)

Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles with plastic liner.

Ensure that work/assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored (locked when necessary) at all times as well as before leaving such areas for breaks, meal times, and end of the work day.

Perform isolation cleaning procedures in accordance with established infection control procedures.

Discard infectious wastes into appropriate containers.
