HMR Veterans Services in Bonham, Texas is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Staff member to perform day-to-day housekeeping functions and maintain cleanliness in resident rooms and common areas. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
• Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
• Empty and sanitize ash trays daily.
• Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident rooms and common areas daily as instructed.
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures.
• Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways.
• Clean floors (sweeping, mopping, waxing, disinfecting, etc.).
• Clean carpets (vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, disinfecting).
• Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing.
• Remove dirt and residues from surfaces with cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
• Clean hallways, stairways, and elevators.
• Discard waste into proper containers and relines trash receptacles.
• Clean vacant rooms as assigned.
• Ensure areas and equipment are stored properly at all times.
• Perform isolation cleaning procedures per infection control procedures.
