Job summary

North Carolina Central University (NCCU) is seeking a Building Environmental Services Supervisor – Housekeeping to lead daily cleaning operations across campus. The role emphasizes staff supervision, safety adherence, and effective coordination of supplies and equipment.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year in the field, with opportunities to oversee contracted services and contribute to service quality. On-site work and standard campus hours apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Some positions may require Certification or eligibility for Certification.
• Licenses or Certification required by Statute or Regulation N/A

Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping staff and ensure daily service in assigned buildings.
• Train staff on proper cleaning procedures, safety practices, and use of cleaning products.
• Review and submit leave reports (SMARTTime) by deadlines and ensure MSDS information is posted and employees are trained.
• Monitor inventory and order supplies; manage keys, radios, and equipment as needed.
• Oversee contracted housekeeping and pesticide services, with QA inspections and remediation as required.
