Job summary

Housekeeping seasonal

REPORTS TO:

Director of Housekeeping

Summary

Responsible for delivering all supplies to room attendants and guests, keeping shelves stocked and organized, stripping rooms, and transporting items between housekeeping and rooms. Perform outstanding guest service and maintain interdepartmental lines of communication.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
  • Previous hotel or resort experience beneficial.
Essential Duties
  • Be able to strip units of all dirty linens and garbage
  • Utilize dishwasher
  • Utilize relay to communicate with front desk and housekeeping
  • Put orders away on the shelves, keeping the shelves organized
  • Deliver guest requests to rooms, including but not limited to, towels, bedding, microwaves, rollaway beds, and pack and plays
  • Return dirty linens, garbage, and guest request items from units to housekeeping and put all items where they belong
  • Maintain housekeeping storerooms inventories
  • Help in maintaining clean exteriors of units by cleaning windows, sweeping, and de-cobwebbing
  • Utilize carpet shampooer
  • When required will safely drive work vehicles or golf carts. When operating, will follow and adhere to company driving policies
  • Foster positive working relationships and communication with all departments.
  • Assist in public areas, if needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Every employee must exhibit stellar guest service and a regular attendance record. If problems arise, will contact a member of housekeeping management. Follow all rules and policies as set forth in the employee handbook. Foster positive working relationships and communication with all departments.

Requirements
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Driver’s license required
  • Stand; walk; sit; kneel; lift; push; pull; climb up and down stairs; reach with arms and hands; move/lift objects weighing up to forty (40) pounds.
  • This is an indoor/ outdoor position. Must be comfortable working in all environmental conditions, including but not limited to, rain, extreme heat or extreme cold.
  • The scheduled end of shift is tentative and may require housekeeping to leave early or stay late.
