Job summary

CoralTree Hospitality Group is seeking a Housekeeping Room Inspector for Lake Nona Wave Hotel. The role focuses on inspecting rooms to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance standards are met before guest occupancy.

You will support the department and work with leadership to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction. The position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with attention to detail and strong guest-facing communication.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Prior housekeeping experience in hotel rooms preferred.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy.
• Strong guest-facing communication and high attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Work all scheduled shifts.
• Safely protect guest personal property and maintain integrity at all times.
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness, sanitation and maintenance prior to occupancy.
• Make minor corrections to meet standards in lodging units.
• Update housekeeping coordinator when units are clean and ready for occupancy.
• Document engineering concerns and notify leadership of deficiencies.
• Assist with associate training and follow-up on deficiencies.
• Perform general cleaning tasks during peak occupancy and other duties as assigned.

Overview

The Housekeeping Room Inspector conducts inspections, and maximizes the efforts of the entire department in order to ensure compliance with all standards of guest satisfaction, cleanliness, sanitation and productivity and efficiency set by the Hotel. The Room Inspector’s position is to ultimately ensure that guests of the Hotel enter a room/suite that is clean, sanitary and welcoming. Each Inspector will play a vital housekeeping role in ensuring all guests experience the natural beauty comfort and custom hand finished details that our guest rooms offer. They will work with business/department leadership and team members to ensure the effectiveness and overall success of the department.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for working all scheduled shifts;

• Ensure the safe keeping of Guest’s Personal Property while working within their lodging unit by showing Integrity and Honesty at all times;
• Perform unit inspections ensuring all meet cleanliness, sanitation and maintenance standards prior to guest occupancy.
• Make small corrections as needed in lodging units to bring them to required standards;
• Update the housekeeping coordinator when units are clean, up to standards and ready for guest occupancy.
• Document and notify housekeeping coordinator of any engineering concerns in the units and enter into Alice if applicable;
• Document and notify housekeeping leadership of any severe cleaning deficiencies in the units;

• Assist with associate training, including follow-up training as needed with regard to any recorded deficiencies;
• General cleaning tasks (making beds, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, scrubbing floors, spotting carpets, cleaning fireplaces, vacuuming all living areas, sweeping, mopping, dusting, spot cleaning windows and checking outside trash areas) may be assigned during peak occupancy days at the resort;
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in housekeeping experience in rooms preferred
• Must be able to work well under pressure;
• Must be able to accurately follow instructions (verbally and written);
• Must possess guest facing communication skills;
• High attention-to-detail
