Job summary

CoralTree Hospitality's Lake Nona Wave Hotel in Orlando seeks a Housekeeping Room Inspector to conduct inspections and ensure rooms meet cleanliness, sanitation and guest readiness.

You will work swing shifts, ensure property standards, assist with training, and collaborate with leadership. A high school diploma and prior housekeeping experience preferred; strong attention to detail and guest-facing communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Work all scheduled shifts and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Inspect lodging units for cleanliness and readiness prior to occupancy.
• Report maintenance concerns and coordinate with housekeeping coordinators.
• Assist with training and peak-occupancy tasks as needed.
• Perform general cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Maintain security of guests' personal property.

Overview

The Housekeeping Room Inspector conducts inspections, and maximizes the efforts of the entire department in order to ensure compliance with all standards of guest satisfaction, cleanliness, sanitation and productivity and efficiency set by the Hotel. The Room Inspector’s position is to ultimately ensure that guests of the Hotel enter a room/suite that is clean, sanitary and welcoming. Each Inspector will play a vital housekeeping role in ensuring all guests experience the natural beauty comfort and custom hand finished details that our guest rooms offer. They will work with business/department leadership and team members to ensure the effectiveness and overall success of the department.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for working all scheduled shifts;
• Ensure the safe keeping of Guest’s Personal Property while working within their lodging unit by showing Integrity and Honesty at all times;
• Perform unit inspections ensuring all meet cleanliness, sanitation and maintenance standards prior to guest occupancy.
• Make small corrections as needed in lodging units to bring them to required standards;
• Update the housekeeping coordinator when units are clean, up to standards and ready for guest occupancy.
• Document and notify housekeeping coordinator of any engineering concerns in the units and enter into Alice if applicable;
• Document and notify housekeeping leadership of any severe cleaning deficiencies in the units;
• Assist with associate training, including follow-up training as needed with regard to any recorded deficiencies;
• General cleaning tasks (making beds, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, scrubbing floors, spotting carpets, cleaning fireplaces, vacuuming all living areas, sweeping, mopping, dusting, spot cleaning windows and checking outside trash areas) may be assigned during peak occupancy days at the resort;
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in housekeeping experience in rooms preferred
• Must be able to work well under pressure;
• Must be able to accurately follow instructions (verbally and written);
• Must possess guest facing communication skills;
• High attention-to-detail
