Job summary

The Hampton Inn Santa Monica, part of Crescent Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Guest Room Attendant to ensure clean, safe, and comfortable rooms for our guests.

You will clean bathrooms, make beds, replenish amenities, and restock supplies while collaborating with a friendly team in a flexible scheduling environment. We offer competitive wages, benefits, 401K matching, discounts, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to pitch in and be a team player.
• Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces and work in confined spaces.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner.
• Be able to communicate well with guests.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, bedrooms, and surfaces to ensure guest safety and comfort.
• Strip and make beds, change linens, and replenish amenities in guest rooms.
• Dust furniture, pictures, shelves, and window ledges; vacuum rooms; empty trash.
• Restock heavy cart, sign for keys, and inspect rooms for cleanliness.
• Adhere to cleaning procedures and safety guidelines at all times.
• Attend work regularly and perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

• Clean and sanitize bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms overhead, bending, and stooping.
• Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
• Strip and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
• Push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room and empty trash.
• Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in the guest room.
• Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
